Welcome to the Alaska 49ers

 

The Alaska 49ers team is a 501(c)(3), which is a non-profit organization that was formed in 2011. Due to the great success and the highly recruited individuals involved last year, we are approaching the season with great excitement. The 49ers will give our great state of Alaska something more to cheer for: a choice and a chance to build a rivalry with other teams from this Professional level of Basketball in the American Basketball Association League, where we call home play. This is a chance to cheer on your own that you have seen grow from infants to toddlers, then young boys to men. Now, those men will become our heroes we'll all root for everyday to achieve greatness. This is our own feel-good story; it already has the foundation for a strong beginning, all we need is you: the fans; supporters; sponsors; partners and COMMUNITY to help us build a local sports team we will all be proud of and more importantly, a better, lasting future for the kids who look up to these hometown heroes. With all of our combined support, with all of our combined efforts and with all our combined belief in the 49ers, we simply cannot fail. Sure, the games on the court will be hard-fought, and the scoreboard will tally on both sides. But standing strong behind the team is a determined, proud community that will cheer on their every effort. On behalf of Alaska's next big motherlode, we invite you now to be part of this community. The Mission Statement:

Use professional basketball to create youth sports programs throughout Alaska to increase healthy development of our Alaska youths through sports participation and athletics. Use professional basketball to help build confidence and moral character based on sports principles that will help us strengthen our diverse community while building strong, heartfelt relationships that our youths can trust in.
